Dinner Party at Faustina
Just a few pictures from a recent small birthday party at Faustinas. Delicious food as usual. Many of the guests that evening had never been before. We had an order of the Linguini Diavolo (my favorite!), Short Ribs, Lasgana, Mac and Cheese, a stuffed chicken that is no longer offered, as well as the items below. Each was incredibly well done aside from the extremely long wait. The guest however didn’t enjoy the souffle. I found it rich in it’s custard glory but most remarked that it tasted like dishwashing soap (the lavender sauce). Simple palates. Definitely still a top choice for Peng’s Palate.

Grilled Lamb Chops port wine roasted shallots • celery root chips • sour cherry reduction • mashed potatoes • rosemary demi-glaze
One of the best things about social eating is you get to taste all of the other dishes without committing to it. It’s some what like flash dating. Get a bit of each until you decide on which one you would like to take home. (Food that is)
I always seem to order Antipasto when I know that the meats almost always come from Tony Caputo’s. I’m going straight there next time and cutting out the middleman!

A bit underwhelming: Asiago Cheese Crusted Scallops • cappellini • tomato saffron broth • sweet peas • cherry tomato • arugula • basil
The sauce for the Scallop pasta dish was extremely underwhelming. The scallops were a bit overcooked as well. I enjoyed the dish after salting it up a bit but it was hard to not wish that I had ordered something else when everyone ease’s food was much better.

Stuffed Beef Tenderloin Medallions • asparagus • creamy peppercorn sauce • mashed potatoes • shitake chips

Lol. You can ask her about it. And the reason we haven’t seen you guys is because you are in Provo and we are in SLC valley. Like I said last time, we invited you to Communal 🙂
